Miguel Arsénio
Miguel Arsénio grew up immersed in outdoor activities, often accompanying his father on various adventures. Influenced by this early exposure, he developed a passion for sports from a young age - starting with football, before turning to cycling at the age of eight. It was during these formative years that his love for the outdoors truly took root.
Miguel describes himself as naturally competitive - a trait he continues to carry with him today. It is this competitive spirit, shaped by years of early training and growth through challenge, that has helped forge Miguel Arsénio into one of the most promising rising stars in trail running.
Miguel shared, "I want to continue growing as an athlete, be a role model, inspire people to practice sports." To achieve this goal, he has devoted immense time and effort to his development. He systematically studies sports science, coaches himself, designs his own training plans, and follows them with unwavering discipline.
Grounded in the mental resilience forged through high-level competition and sustained by the consistency of intense training, Miguel continues to challenge himself across major international races. His breakthrough came in 2023, when he claimed second place in the 130km category at the Transgrancanaria, announcing his arrival on the global stage. He went on to secure the World Trail Majors (WTM) overall title in 2024, and in 2025, captured victory at Chiangmai Thailand by UTMB 100K.
