Josh Wade
As one of the rising figures in British trail running, every step Josh Wade takes beyond his limits is driven by his love for nature and his desire to challenge himself. "My dad took me out into the local hills a lot when I was a kid. I really enjoy being in the mountains," he recalls.
Behind every victory lie countless failures and lessons. Josh has claimed multiple wins at Ultra Trail Snowdonia and finished 11th at UTMB. These achievements are built on experience gained from setbacks and the perseverance to keep moving forward. He not only pushes himself in races but also learns to adjust his mindset after every failure, rediscovering confidence each time.
Josh has a unique perspective on training. "I just love training, so if I feel like I have done everything I can to prepare, then I feel physically and mentally strong." This mindset has helped him tackle the rigorous demands of ultra-distance trail running and stay competitive on the global stage.
Beyond running, he has a deep appreciation for climbing, which offers him another profound connection with nature. Climbing allows him not only to enjoy breathtaking landscapes but also to push his physical and mental limits.
With his sights set on competing at UTMB multiple times, as well as legendary races such as Hardrock 100 and Grand Raid, Josh sees trail running as more than a race - it's a way of life. He aims to continuously push his own limits while serving as an inspiration for trail runners around the world.
